SPECIAL PERMIT: An application for a Special Permit has been filed with the Board of Standards and Appeals (BSA), pursuant to Zoning Resolution of the City of New York §73-622, to enlarge a single or two-family detached or semi-detached residence within the designated R2 district bounded by Avenue I, Nostrand Avenue, Kings Highway, Avenue O and Ocean Avenue in Community Board 14 in the Borough of Brooklyn.

7:00 PM – 1010 East 22nd Street, between Avenue I and Avenue J, Block 7585, Lot 61, BSA# 129-13-BZ – Applicant’s Representative: Lewis E. Garfinkel, 718-951-6551

7:15 PM – CHURCH AVENUE BID REQUEST FOR FUNDING: The Church Avenue Business Improvement District has requested community support of their application for funding to the New York State Office of Homes and Community Renewal for the New York Main Street grant program. The New York Main Street grant program provides financial resources and technical assistance to communities to strengthen the economic vitality of the State’s traditional main streets and neighborhoods. The program provides funds to units of local government, business improvement districts and other non-for-profit organizations. This grant would fund improvements to buildings exteriors (repainting, refacing, new windows, etc.), improvements to storefronts (awnings, gates, signage, exterior lighting, etc.), and possibly interior renovations.

7:30 PM – BROOKLYN COLLEGE, CUNY: An Uniform Land Use Review Procedure (ULURP) application No. 130306ZMK  submitted by Dormitory Authority of the State of New York, proposing a Zoning Map amendment from C8-2 (General Service District) to an R6 (General Residence District) with C2-4 (Local Service District) commercial overlay in order to facilitate a new building for Brooklyn College, CUNY. The proposed Rezoning Area consists of Block 7575, Lots 33, 53 and 54. In addition to this application, Dormitory Authority of the State of New York has filed a related ULURP application No. 120326MMK, which requests a change to the City Map, involving the elimination, discontinuance and closing of Campus Road south of Avenue H, as well as the elimination discontinuance and closing of Avenue H, between Campus Road and Nostrand Avenue.
