The NYC Department of Transportation announced a plan to expand the Citi Bike program, NYC’s Bicycle Share program, further into parts of Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens and the Bronx. Public Feedback Portal:
DOT is gathering feedback about this project. While in-person outreach has been cancelled due to pandemic, DOT is hosting virtual stakeholder meetings and public town halls and has created an interactive station planning map & feedback portal. Please add your input at https://nycdotprojects.info/CitiBikePhase3. A draft plan that includes community feedback will be presented to the Community Board at a later date.
Timeline for Brooklyn Community Board 14:
- Summer 2020: Technical siting for stations in southwest Brooklyn
- October 2020: Briefing to elected officials and Community Board Leadership
- Fall 2020: Feedback portal and virtual stakeholder meetings
- November 2020: Draft plan presentation to Community Boards
- Winter 2021: Final coordination and installation
