Bedford Avenue Bridge over LIRR & NYAR
The NYC Department of Transportation Division of Bridges began the rehabilitation of the Bedford Avenue Bridge over the Long Island Rail Road, between Avenue H & Avenue I in 2014.

Important Notice: Click Here to See DOT Notification Flyer. Lane closures are scheduled on the Bedford Avenue Bridge over the Long Island Railroad. Two additional days of work are required to complete contract work at this location. The contractor will begin staging lane closures on Thursday, April 23rd during alternate side of the street parking. Traffic will be shifted into the closure and two-way traffic will be maintained with flaggers during active construction on Friday, April 24th. DOT expects all remaining work to be completed on Friday however this work is weather sensitive and rain will require the work to be rescheduled until Monday, April 27th.
