Partnerships for Parks Conference 2013

Partnerships for Parks is hosting a conference with a focus on how NYC’s community park groups can improve quality of life and strengthen our neighborhoods. To visit the event website and to register for the conference, CLICK HERE. All are welcome to attend!

Current park group leaders will get a chance to network, meet experts, and learn tips they can use immediately to support their efforts and newcomers will learn about what resources Partnerships for Parks has to offer to help them get involved with their community parks.

At this day-long Partnerships for Parks conference:
-Learn about the impact of NYC’s community park groups.
-Find out how to get involved in your community parks and what resources Partnerships for Parks has to offer.
-Already a member of a park group? Meet other park group leaders, and learn skills that will make your group even stronger!

Registration Fee: $10*
*Fee includes breakfast, lunch, and a ticket to the reception.

Conference workshop topics include:
-Volunteer project planning
-Working with the media
-Social media
-Legal basics, including 501(c)3 status
-Superstorm Sandy recovery
-Community involvement in park design
-Park group success stories
