Holiday Food, Coat & Toy Drives

Many organizations around the city are hosting drives to collect food, gifts & needed items for the less fortunate during the holiday season. Below are a few of the events happening locally. If you would like your organization’s donation drive or event listed here, please let us know!

TOY DRIVES:

1. Donate new toys to the Big Brooklyn Toy Drive through December 16th.

2. Drop off new, unwrapped toys for the USMC Toys for Tots Drive at Assemblyman Cymbrowitz’s office through December 17th.

3. New, unwrapped toys can be dropped off at the 61st Precinct through December 17th.

4. Donate new, unwrapped toys at the Kings Bay Y through December 17th.

5. Donate new, unwrapped toys at the Nostrand Nike Store through December 18th.

6. Donate new, unwrapped toys at Councilman Jumaane Williams’ Office through December 18th.

7. Donate new, unwrapped toys to the 70th Precinct through December 21st.


CLOTHING DRIVES:
1. Contribute to the Pajama Drive at PS 207 through December 18th.
(*Pajamas must be brand-new. Pajamas in all sizes are needed—from newborn to adult. The most needed sizes are size youth 8- to adult 3x. It is often the bigger, older children who are left out. Pajamas must be in complete sets or nightgowns. Pajamas in children’s sizes must be manufactured as pajamas—this ensures that they are flame-retardant and safe.)

2. Drop off winter coats at the 70th Precinct (or at any NYPD Precinct) through December 31st.

3. Donate warm winter clothing (hats, sweaters, coats, etc.) to Brooklyn College’s Bridging the Gap student group. (Mon-Thurs, 11AM-6 PM.)

FOOD DRIVES:
1. Donate Canned Food at Councilman Jumaane Williams’ Office through December 21st.

2. Donate Canned Food to benefit the Our Lady of Refuge food pantry to Flatbush Development Corp. through December 31st.
