Posted on: www.cb14brooklyn.com

Dear Community Resident:

Common Ground, a non-profit that helps find permanent housing for New York’s homeless, has begun utilizing 800 East 12th Street, formerly the Oak Hotel, for its “Street to Home” program.

In response to overwhelming community concern and questions about the operation of this facility for this purpose, I am calling an emergency meeting for:

Thursday, July 23, 2009
7 PM

CB14 District Office
810 East 16th Street (between Avenue H and the Dead End)
Brooklyn, New York

Representatives from Common Ground, the owners of 800 East 12th Street, and relevant City agencies have been asked to attend this important meeting.

Please do not hesitate to contact District Manager Doris Ortíz at 718-859-6357 if you require further information.
