Community Safety & Fireworks Complaints

Posted on:

There have been an unprecedented number of reports of fireworks in our community over the past weeks.  Remember, fireworks are illegal and dangerous.  In addition, and in the words of one of our community residents, “They wake up babies, terrify dogs, trigger those with PTSD, and keep everyone in the neighborhood from being well-rested and healthy during this pandemic – including many essential workers who live here. They have also lit fires and put buildings and people in danger.”

FDNY will be sharing educational resources regarding the dangers of fireworks  June 25 – July 2 from 4-8 PM at many locations throughout the five boroughs.  Click here to see full schedule. Please continue to take good care of your health and safety!  You can report the sale, storage or use of fireworks to 311, 911 or the FDNY Fireworks Enforcement Hotline at 718-722-3600.

FDNY will be sharing educational resources regarding the dangers of fireworks from  June 25 – July 2.  All events will be occurring from 4-8 pm on the dates/locations listed below.

Here are additional public service resources regarding the dangers of fireworks.  Please pass them along to your neighbors and share with the community.
