Town Hall Meeting

Brooklyn Borough President Eric L. Adams invites the community to attend a Town Hall Meeting this evening to address concerns regarding the recent increase in criminal activity in our community, especially against our small businesses. The Borough President will be joined by local elected officials, community leaders and officers from the NYPD’s 70th Precinct.

SNAP Assistance Event

SNAP specialists from the Council of Senior Centers & Services (CSCS) will be available to answer questions about the SNAP (food stamp) program and eligibility guidelines. Community members are invited to join the thirteen NYPD precincts in Patrol Boro Brooklyn South (PBBS) for a day of family fun. This event is held annually to foster community, encourage communication between neighbors, and promote communication between residents and the police by joining police officers from Patrol Boro Brooklyn South for free food, games, activities and entertainment. The location of the event will be the Bartel-Pritchard Square entrance to Prospect Park at Prospect Park West and 15th Street. NYPD Youth Summits 2014

The NYPD Community Affairs Bureau’s Juvenile Justice Division is hosting multiple Youth Summits in communities throughout NYC to inform the public about potential dangers and consequences of Social Media. Also addressed are topics on Youth Crews and trends in their respective neighborhoods. Teenagers, community leaders, representatives of community based youth organizations, teachers, administrators, clergy and concerned citizens are invited and encouraged to attend. Compost for Brooklyn (C4B) is giving away 35 free trees during C4B’s  Open Hours this Thursday, 11/7, 12:30- 2:30 PM, and Saturday, 11/9, 11 AM – 1 PM.
