SPECIAL PERMITS
Applications for Special Permits have been filed with the Board of Standards and Appeals (BSA), pursuant to Zoning Resolution of the City of New York Section 73-622, to enlarge single or two-family detached or semi-detached residences within the designated R2 district bounded by Avenue I, Nostrand Avenue, Kings Highway, Avenue O and Ocean Avenue in Community Board 14 in the Borough of Brooklyn.

POTENTIAL COMMUNITY RESIDENCE
Women’s League Community Residences, Inc. and the New York State Office of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities have submitted an application for a potential Community Residence to be located at 798 East 8th Street between Avenue H and Foster Avenue within Community District 14 in compliance with Section 41.34(e)(2) of the New York State Mental Hygiene Law. This established residence will be relocating into a five-bedroom, two-and-a-half-story, detached house for up to nine (9) geriatric males and females from the community who are experiencing moderate/mild impairment in their intellectual abilities. The program will provide supervisory and residential staff on duty 24 hours a day, who will plan for the care of each resident and develop plans to enhance their personal skills. The residents will attend day programs and recreational outing on weekends and evenings.
