NYC Library Fine Amnesty Program

Posted on: www.cb14brooklyn.com

Between October 19 – November 2, 2017, NYC libraries are pleased to announce a one-time fine amnesty for library fines accrued by young patrons. On October 19th, the New York Public Library, Brooklyn Public Library and Queens Library automatically cleared all outstanding fines and fees from overdue, unreturned, and lost materials for kids and teens under the age of 17. High School students ages 18 and up are also eligible, but fines will not be cleared automatically. Patrons over the age of 18 should visit their local library where staff may waive fines on a case by case basis through November 2, 2017. For more information, visit your local library branch or go to www.bklynlibrary.org/newstart.
