NYPD Gun Buyback Program

The 70th Precinct is encouraging people from all over Brooklyn to take advantage of a gun buyback program that’s coming up in Brooklyn North.

On Saturday, January 28, the 77th Precinct is hosting the program at the Bedford Central Presbyterian Church, located at 1200 Dean Street at Nostrand. The cash-for-guns program will exchange $200 bank card for operable handguns and $20 bank card for operable rifles and shotguns.

Dominick Scotto, Community Affairs, with the Chief Patrick D. Brennan Cop of the Year Award.  Community Board 14 congratulates Det. Scotto on this much-earned and well-deserved honor!

70th Precinct’s Annual Medal Day Awards Ceremony

On Sunday, September 19, 2010, Deputy Inspector Ralph Monteforte and the 70th Precinct hosted the annual Medal Day awards ceremony at the United Cerebral Palsy NYC complex on Lawrence Avenue.   Officers, family and community residents came out in droves to show their support of the NYPD and to congratulate those officers who served with distinction in the last year.

Freeing our neighborhoods of graffiti has long been an important goal of city government.  The New York City Economics Development Corporation, in partnership with the Mayor’s Office and the Department of Sanitation, is proud to offer you free graffiti removal services through our Graffiti Free NYC program.
