The partial closure and subsequent enhancements would include: adding a northbound protected left turn lane; installing bulbouts and pedestrian ramps; new traffic pattern with “Right Turns In Only” at Albemarle Road from Coney Island Avenue; installing a quick curb on Coney Island Avenue to prevent left turns at Albemarle Road and carwash; and restriping of crosswalks, stop bars and other pavement markings. Representatives from DOT will be attending to make a presentation on its proposal.

    e) Committee of the Whole: The board’s position with respect to meetings as well as public hearing requirements on issues and/or actions which may require a vote during the summer months is to hold these items over to September. The board will convene during the months of July and August should there be an item that requires a vote. VARIANCE:
A Variance application has been filed with the Board of Standards and Appeals (BSA) pursuant to §72-21 of the Zoning Resolution of the City of New York to permit a Use Group 6 commercial use in the entire building at the premises.
